Joseph Quinn helps clients to identify and patent their most valuable intellectual property and to develop appropriate strategies for IP portfolio protection.

In the U.S and internationally, Joseph has extensive experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications covering a wide range of technologies. He has been a member of numerous litigation teams on both the plaintiff side and the defendant side in patent infringement litigations and has represented patent holders and trademark holders in foreign opposition proceedings. Joseph also provides advice in all areas of technology licensing and has provided extensive due diligence analysis and valuation studies for intellectual property in the context of corporate mergers and acquisitions.

Clients appreciate the many years Joseph spent working in the manufacturing industry as a product design engineer. His skills in the electrical, mechanical and computer engineering fields allows him to communicate effectively with technology clients from an inventor’s perspective. Joseph counsels companies in various industries including manufacturing, healthcare, medical devices, semiconductor design and fabrication, telecommunications, transportation, and mobile technologies, defense technologies, software and computer networks.

Before joining Burns & Levinson in 2015, Joseph served as a senior counsel at Seyfarth Shaw LLP.
